Latest Rockcontinuum indirectly explores the dichotomy and liminal space between the Election and Thanksgiving, offering new music from Aquaserge, Paul Lake (Chemistry Set) and Squid blended with tunes from The Sunshine Fix, Deerhunter, T-Bone Burnett, 801, Nanocluster, Traffic, Martin Newell, The Nice, SOOL, Gong, Zombies and much more, with a mini-tribute to Pete Sinfield*. Originally broadcast on WOWD 94.3 FM, takomaradio.org, For your pleasure in our present state.
*Note; the Peter Sinfield mini-tribute notes were accidently omitted from this program (at around 27:50). Peter Sinfield was the lyricist for the first 4 King Crimson Albums, coined the name King Crimson, found the band a place to practice, sourced the Artists for the early album covers, and purportedly, influenced Crimson’s sartorial choices. After Crimson, Sinfield released solo material, worked with Greg Lake and ELP and went on to write songs for popular artists (such as Cher and Celine Dion). He also produced the first Roxy Music Album. Sinfield passed away last Thursday (11/14) at the age of 80.
